Community Involvement

At Gastonia Nissan, we are proud to support a number of local charities and community events. Without all of our wonderful customers and the support of the greater Gaston County area, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Some of the community events we have at the dealership and local charities we support include:

Breast Cancer Awareness Month — Mobile Mammograms (Every October Since 2013)
Providing free mammograms for uninsured women and raising awareness for breast cancer. Each year we have partnered with CaroMont Health to serve women in and around our community. Since its inception, we have provided assistance for over 100 women.

American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” (Every February Since 2015)
We partner with CaroMont Health to host our “Go Red Day,” to offer education and raise awareness for heart disease, #1 killer of both women and men, and provide cardiovascular screenings.

Fill the Frontier — Gaston County Schools (Every September)
In partnership with the Gaston County School System, Gastonia Nissan provides school supplies to students in need in Gaston County during this event. Customers and community members are encouraged to donate supplies, and for every donation made, Gastonia Nissan will match it!

Backpack Weekend Food Program — Gaston County Schools
To provide food on the weekend to children in need, so they can come to school more alert, better nourished and ready to learn.

9/11 Mobile Museum
A mobile, educational tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Turquoise Takeover — Lung Cancer Awareness
The American Lung Association’s campaign to raise awareness and research funding for lung cancer.

Special Olympics
The world’s premier athletic program for intellectually disabled athletes.

Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
A non-profit founded in memory of USMC SSgt and NYPD officer Stephen Siller. Tunnel to Towers honors military members and first responders who laid down their lives for their country.

Blue Jean Ball — Bit of Hope Ranch
An annual event that benefits Bit of Hope Ranch, a mental health facility that uses horses for therapy.

Women’s Shelter of Gaston County
Provides shelter for domestic abuse victims, while advocating for and empowering them.

Pearls & Pumpkins Gala (2018)
Provides monetary support for community service and outreach in the Charlotte Metro area.

Furever Angels Animal Rescue (2017)
Provides foster housing for neglected dogs.

Oasis Wagoneers — Gaston County Shriners
An event that sponsors the Gaston County Shrine Club, an organization committed to community service and those in need.

F4R Outdoors — (Maliek Carrington) 2018
A foundation that helps underserved youth get involved with bass fishing.
